At the end of September, the Congress of the Association of Honduran Sugar Technologists (ATAHON) once again opens its doors. On the agenda for this 19th event of its kind are ap-proaches to improving energy and cost efficiency in the sugar industry. Several papers from BMA will touch on this subject.

For the second time in its history, Mexico will host the ATALAC (Asociación de Técnicos Azucareros de Latinoamérica y del Caribe) congress together with the ATAM (Asociación de Técnicos Azucareros de México, A.
